Backscratcher

2016

Backscratcher is kinetic piece inspired by my childhood dream of creating a backscratching machine to extend my mother's nightly back scratches indefinitely.  The piece whirs into motion for one second for each day of rain at my boyhood home between the years of 1975 and 1985.
